Alberta’s Bruce Crosby awarded Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee medal

January 11, 2023 – Wheelchair Rugby Canada (WRC) would like to extend congratulations to Wheelchair Sports Alberta’s Bruce Crosby on receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee medal, given to outstanding Albertans.
Bruce Crosby is a respected member in the wheelchair rugby community who has been involved in the coaching and development of Albertan athletes. Bruce continues to be a leader having been recognized by WRC as a Coaches Week recipient in 2021 & 2022 in addition to leading the Alberta Roughnecks to a D1 National Championship in 2022.

To celebrate the Queen’s 70 years of service and her Platinum Jubilee, the Government of Alberta established this award in 2022. Along with 7000 other Albertan’s, our honoured recipients have been recognized for their contributions.
