Wheelchair Rugby Canada (WRC) invites members of the wheelchair rugby community to join our Community Town Hall on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

This virtual gathering will provide an opportunity to hear updates on key WRC initiatives, high-performance programming, community development, and upcoming opportunities across the sport. It will also give athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and community members an opportunity to connect with WRC staff and engage in discussion about the continued development of wheelchair rugby in Canada.

What to expect

The Town Hall will include:

  • High-performance updates, including a recap of the 2026 season, competitions and camps, and collaboration with provincial coaches
  • Community updates on initiatives including Podium Club, the WILD Fund, Community Sport for All, domestic tournaments, and the Women’s Development Program
  • Education and development opportunities, including upcoming courses and free classification eLearning
  • Upcoming funding opportunities through WILD and Podium Club
  • Updates on technical rules and policies
  • Upcoming events, including domestic and international competitions and the 2027 Women’s World Championship

The Town Hall will also provide an opportunity to learn more about WRC staff and who to contact for different areas of the organization.
