WRC Recognizes Ben Parker-Jones!

Wheelchair Rugby Canada (WRC) announces the departure of Mr. Ben Parker-Jones from his role as Communications and Marketing Coordinator.  Ben leaves WRC for a position with the federal government. “We are very grateful for the four years that Ben worked for our organization and our entire Wheelchair Rugby Family wishes him the very best in his new career”, said WRC CEO Catherine Cadieux.

Ben’s most notable accomplishments include leading WRC’s 2018 rebrand of the former Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association (CWSA) and coordinating the release of the WRC Team Store.  His energy, love of sport and meticulous attention to detail is reflected in his contributions to our programs.

“It is with a heavy heart and mixed emotions that I am leaving Wheelchair Rugby Canada. The opportunity to work, learn, and grow alongside the wheelchair rugby community these last four years has been nothing short of exceptional, and I am very thankful for it. To my colleagues, board members, and of course, the athletes that play this incredible sport, I wish you all the very best. It’s OUR game and the future couldn’t be brighter. GO CANADA!”

Thank you, Ben, for all you have brought to wheelchair rugby in Canada and all we know you will bring to us in the future as a supporter and fan.
