OTTAWA, ON – Wheelchair Rugby Canada (WRC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Trevor Hirschfield as the National Team’s next Head Coach. With a remarkable history in the sport as both an athlete and a leader, Hirschfield brings remarkable experience to the role.

A five-time Paralympian and former co-captain of Team Canada, Hirschfield is widely regarded as one of the best low-point players in the world. His career highlights include numerous podium finishes, including a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, a silver medal at the 2012 London Paralympic Games, and a gold medal at the 2015 Toronto Parapan American Games. Off the court, he is known for his exceptional leadership and his continued commitment to the growth of wheelchair rugby in Canada.
