Biography

Yanick Racicot has Charcot Marie-Tooth disorder, a birth condition that affects his nerves. Sport wise, he used to play basketball, but when he tried rugby, he simply got hooked right away. Transferring the basketball chair skill to rugby, he quickly made the Provincial Team, then a couple months later he made the National Team. Yanick received the top 1.5 class award at the 2025 WWR Americas Championships. 

Today, Yanick has the same determination as when he first started. His goal would be to win a gold medal at the Paralympics.

Outside of the playing, Yannick coaches club, and in his spare time, he enjoys basketball, fishing, hunting, skiing, and wheelchair racing. Yannick also has a degree in human sciences.
