Biography

Cody became a quadriplegic through an accident at just 11 years old. Growing up, there wasn’t a whole lot of opportunities to express himself through sport. That was until he discovered wheelchair rugby in 2010. The sport has allowed Cody to grow as an individual and see the world like he had never seen before, through a community that cares for one another.

In 2018, Cody decided to take the sport seriously and dedicate his time to becoming the best player he could be. The years have provided a wonderful, yet difficult journey having played for a handful of teams. Cody’s journey started in Alberta, frequently playing in Calgary, but eventually landing himself with the Edmonton Steel Wheels. Cody transitioned to played with a California-based team out of Northridge and eventually with Team Ontario. Cody has since moved and now plays with Team BC.

Outside of playing, Cody has dedicated time to coaching his peers to become better athletes and rugby players.
