Alabama, USA – Team Canada is excited to announce its roster for the USA Developmental Invitational tournament taking place in Alabama. This marks the first competition for the team following the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
The tournament will feature Team Canada competing against some of the top nations in the world, including Team Great Britain and Team USA. The goal of this tournament is to provide valuable international court time experience for both new athletes and those with more experience, strengthening the team’s performance on a global stage.

- #20 Ben Perkins (Class 2.0, Ontario)
- #25 Shayne Smith (Class 2.5, Ontario)
- #13 Julia Hanes (Class 3.0F, British Columbia)
- #31 Matt Debly (Class 3.0, Ontario)
- #40 Brandon Perger (Class 3.5, British Columbia)

Notably, this tournament will be the last for Head Coach Pat Côte, whose leadership has been instrumental in the team’s development.

Additionally, two athletes bring prior Paralympic experience, while five athletes will be undergoing their first international classification.
